Connect Docusign Agreement Workflows to Your Existing Systems
Learn how Docusign Maestro integrates with Power Automate, Salesforce Flow, ServiceNow, and Workato.

Agreements don’t live in isolation. They’re part of a bigger business process, whether it’s onboarding new hires, approving vendors, or closing deals. In most cases, that agreement process involves multiple business systems. But if those systems are not integrated, it can lead to duplicate work to re-enter data and route agreements to the next step in the process.
That’s why we built Docusign Maestro, a no-code workflow builder that allows you to easily build and deploy customized workflows that automatically move agreement information from one tool to another. Removing all those manual handoffs saves time, reduces errors, and gives everyone better visibility into the agreement process. In a recent study by Deloitte, 36% of respondents attributed advanced enterprise integration capabilities in the agreement process to outperforming their financial goals.
What’s new: Two-way workflow integration with Docusign Maestro
With Maestro, you can connect the agreement process to the tools your teams already use, like Power Automate, Salesforce Flow, ServiceNow, and Workato. And now we’re rolling out upstream and downstream integrations to unlock powerful automation across your tech stack.
Start Docusign workflows from your workflow tools (Upstream)
You can now trigger a Maestro workflow from a third-party platform like Power Automate, Salesforce Flow, or ServiceNow. For example:
Auto-start a Maestro agreement workflow when a record is created in Salesforce
Kick off a signature process when a request is approved in ServiceNow
Launch an onboarding flow when a new item is created in a Microsoft Sharepoint list
This means your teams can stay in the tools they already use, while seamlessly initiating agreement workflows behind the scenes.
Send data and trigger actions from Maestro (Downstream)
We’re also making it easier to push data and trigger actions in third-party systems from within Maestro. As a first step, we’re launching a Workato Extension App (Beta). You will need an IAM plan and a Workato account to install and connect to the extension app.
With this, Maestro users will be able to:
Trigger downstream Workato workflows directly from Maestro
Pass agreement data (like form inputs or status) into other systems (like HRIS, CRM, or IT platforms)
Connect to thousands of apps in Workato’s ecosystem, no custom code required
This gives customers instant access to downstream integrations—accelerating time to value while expanding what Docusign workflows can do.
Try it in production or demo
The Workato Extension App (Beta) will be available in both production and demo environments, so you can test it in a way that works best for your team.
Want to try it in a demo? You’ve got two options:
Option 1: Get a Docusign Developer Account
Sign up for a free developer account to access our demo environment, with all IAM capabilities enabled by default—perfect for testing and exploring.
Option 2: Use “Try in Demo” from the Docusign App Center
Already signed in? Just head to the authenticated App Center and click “Try in Demo” on the Workato Extension App. This will launch the app directly in your demo environment—no setup required.
Key benefits
No more waiting for connector updates: By routing through Maestro, you get faster access to new Docusign functionality, like Docusign Web Forms and identitfy verificiation, even before they’re supported in third-party tools.
Plug-and-play interoperability: These integrations work with the workflow tools you already use, so you don’t need to rip and replace existing automation.
End-to-end automation: Whether it’s pre-signature intake, post-signature data sync, or cross-functional process orchestration, we’ve got you covered.
