A Personality Upgrade for Your Electronic Signature: Introducing New Signature Styles
We’re introducing six new signature styles in Docusign, giving you more options to express yourself with your electronic signature and add a personal touch to every document you sign. Designed by typeface artists Libbie Bischoff and Lynne Yun, the new styles channel everything from boardroom energy to vintage charm.

Your handwritten signature is more than just a mark; it's a personal statement. It reflects who you are, your unique journey, and the energy you bring to the world: the story of you.
Shouldn’t your electronic signature tell that same story?
It's been 25 years since the ESIGN Act established the legality of electronic signatures in the United States, revolutionizing how we sign the most important agreements in life and in business.
To celebrate this milestone, we’re introducing six new signature styles in Docusign, giving you more options to express yourself with your electronic signature and add a personal touch to every document you sign. It’s a glow-up moment for your electronic signature!
In a recent survey*, we found that only 51% of Gen Z signs their name in cursive on paper (compared to 80% of Baby Boomers), and a quarter just print their name. Others rely on a quick scribble or jotting down initials. As cursive fades with each generation and important life moments increasingly take place digitally, digital signature styles are rapidly becoming a new form of self-expression.
The vision behind your new electronic signature
We were honored to collaborate with Libbie Bischoff of Type Du Nord and Lynne Yun of Space Type, two acclaimed typeface designers who understand the profound impact of fonts.
When we talked to Libbie and Lynne about collaborating on these new signature styles, we agreed that fonts aren't just letters—they're emotions.
"Digital signatures have served us incredibly well—they're secure, fast, and reliable. But we saw an opportunity to add another layer: personal expression,” said Lynne. “We wanted to create styles that capture the essence of who you are when you sign your name. Each typeface tells a different story."
Libbie added, "There's something magical about the moment you sign your name. It's personal, it's powerful, and now it can reflect your personality even more. These styles amplify the human energy that's always been part of signing.”
